TEHRAN (IQNA) – Four mosques in Atlanta, US state of Georgia, have received death threats in recent weeks, including one from someone calling themselves a “Muslim slayer.”

Atlanta Mosques Receive Death Threats

Leaders of mosques in Georgia were told to increase security measures after the three other Muslims houses of worship received identical emails saying threatening violence later this month, the Council on American-Islamic Relations said.

"MUZLIMS MEXICANS BLACKS WE WILL HUNTED NATION WIDE UNTIL ARE ARE DEAD OR GONE. . .” the emails, also received by two mosques in Alabama, said.

CAIR said that it believes the mailings are part of a nationwide campaign.

The "Muslim slayer” letter, which was sent to a mosque in Lawrenceville in late February and said ""death is waiting for you and your kind,” repeated a name used by someone threatening a Brooklyn mosque.

Imam Ibrahim Yavas, of the American Turkish Eyup Sultan Cultural Center in Brighton Beach, received a letter last week from someone calling themselves the "Muslim slayer.”

A former employee at the center told the New York Daily News that increased hatred toward Muslims coincided with the presidency of Donald Trump.

"When the President announced the travel ban, he made it seem like we are all bad people,” the employee said.
