Experts, thinkers and scholars from different countries attended the event, which kicked off on Friday, turkpress.co reported.
It was organized under the supervision of Turkey’s Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet).
Head of Diyanet Ali Erbas, Turkey’s deputy prime minister, and a number of other senior official attended the opening ceremony.
Addressing the ceremony, Erbas underlined the status of the science of Quran recitation in Islam and said more efforts should be made to enhance it.
The international conference, which concluded on Sunday, aimed to discuss ways for improving the level of Quran recitation in Muslim countries.
