150 Iraqi Quran Students Celebrate Graduation

TEHRAN (IQNA) – 150 students who successfully passed Quranic courses organized at different mosques and Husseiniyahs (public halls for religious ceremonies) in Iraq, were honored in a ceremony on the weekned.

  

According to the website of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Ali’s (AS) holy shrine, the “Imran ibn Shahin” Grand Mosque near the holy shrine in Najaf hosted the program.

Hussein Hakim, supervisor of the Quranic plan, said that the first group of the participants in the Quranic courses, which was a complementary part of the “Training 100 Quran Teachers” Plan, were graduated.

He added that the first edition of the courses was organized in five mosques and husseiniyahs and that the number will increase in the next editions.

The “Training 100 Quran Teachers” Plan has been implemented by the Astan of Imam Ali’s (AS) holy shrine in different parts of Iraq.

Tajweed principles, the principles of Telawah (recitation), Waqf and Ibtida and Quran teaching methods are the themes of the courses.
