Ramadan Quran Competition Planned for New Muslims in Abu Dhabi

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Zayed House for Islamic Culture (ZHIC) in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, plans to hold a competition on Tarteel recitation of Quran for new Muslim converts in the holy month of Ramadan.

 

 

According to Hamrinnews, the ZHIC announced that it has special programs for the holy month including Quranic competitions, religious speeches on fasting and Iftar ceremonies.

Workshops on the principles and injunctions of fasting in different languages and speeches on Islam and virtues are among the programs of the cultural center.

It will also hold an exhibition of Islamic arts during the holy month of presenting a collection of Quranic calligraphy and illumination works.

The center said that the main objective of Tarteel recitation competition is to promote the Quranic skills of the new Muslim converts.

The holy month of Ramadan, the month of fasting for Muslims worldwide, begins later this week.
