Quran Competition for Arab Expatriates Underway in Qom

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The third edition of an annual Quran competition for Arab students residing the holy city of Qom has been underway in the holy city since March 4.

 

According to dar-alquran.org, the Qom branch of the Dar-ol-Quran of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine has organized the competition, attended by students from 25 countries.

The competition includes preliminary and final stages and will continue for two months.

Hafiz Mustafa Al-Tayi, director of the Quranic branch said that the main objective of the competition is to encourage the students to learn Quran reading and memorization.

The students, participating in four age groups, compete in the categories of Quran memorization, Tarteel recitation and Quranic concepts.
