According to the website of the Astan, Safa Abdul Hamza, media director of the Dar-ol-Quran Center of the Astan, said that the main objective of the plan is to promote the Quranic skills of Qaris in the country.
The association will hold advanced courses for Qaris and other Iraqi Quran activists who represent the country in international Quran competitions, produce TV and radio programs, organize sessions with Qaris and record Tarteel recitations of the entire Quran, among other things.
Quran experts in Tajweed and Sowt from Iraq, Iran and Egypt will be the instructors in the advanced courses, he said.
Elsewhere, Hamza said that besides the national Quran competition, which is annually held in different provinces of the country, the “Karbala International Quran Award” is planned to be organized in Iraq after the formation of the association.
