Ayatollah Hashemi Shahroudi in Pictures
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Chairman of Iran’s Expediency Council Ayatollah Seyyed Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi passed away at the age of 70 on Monday.
Born into a religious family in the holy city of Najaf in 1948, he was a religious scholar and teacher and also a prominent political figure.
