30th Anniversary of Iran’s POWs Return
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iran is today marking the 30th anniversary of the return of the country’s prisoners of war from Iraq on August 17, 1990.
On that day, the first group of Iranian prisoners of war were released by the regime of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussain.
The event was one of the most important steps for complete enforcement of the UNSC Resolution 598 to end the Iraqi imposed war on Iran.
