Lailatul Qadr Rituals at Jamkaran Mosque

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The rituals of the Night of Qadr were held in mosques and religious sites across Iran on Friday night.

Lailatul Qadr (The Night of Qadr or Night of Power) means the night of destiny, honor and dignity.

It is this night in which the first Divine Revelation came to the heart of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH).

The exact date of Laylat al-Qadr is unknown. However, according to many traditions, it is in the month of Ramadan. Shias believe that it is the eve of the 19th or 21st or 23rd of the month of Ramadan.
