Bushehris’ Muharram Mourning Procession

AHVAZ (IQNA) – People of Bushehr, south of Iran, hold special ceremonies to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) and his companion in Muharram.

One the rituals is performing a special musical rhythm using Senj and Dammam. And the other is joining in circles and beating their chests in a rhythm offered by eulogists.

The following photos are related to a mourning ceremony held on August 2, at Imam Sajjad (AS) mosque in Ahvaz which hosts people from Bushehr origin every year.
