TEHRAN (IQNA) – The director of Zakat al-Andalus Institute affiliated to Al-Najat Charity Society said the Kuwaiti society has built 30 mosques in different Muslim and Arab countries last year.

Zaid al-Hameli said construction and renovation of mosques is one of the society’s major activities, Al-Jaridah daily reported.
He said the mosque construction projects are carried out in poor countries whose people need more places of worship.
“We hope to turn these mosques that have been built (by the society) into lights for promotion of (Islamic teachings), awareness and culture,” he stated.
Al-Hameli added that Quranic circles, Iftar ceremonies and events that help to promote the Islamic culture are among the activities carried out in these mosques.
Al-Najat Charity Society is a major charity institution in Kuwait that has boosted its Quranic and religious activities in recent years.
Holding online Quran teaching courses for children and youths and organizing Quranic programs in mosques are among its activities.
