Egyptian Qari Mahmoud Al-Toukhi Recites Quran at Cairo’s Sayyida Sakina Mosque

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Mahmoud al-Toukhi is an eminent qari in contemporary Egypt.

He is among Quran reciters who imitate the style of legendary qaris Sheikh Mohamed Rif’at and Sheikh Mustafa Ismail.

Toukhi was born in a village in Qalyubiyya Governorate northeast of the country where people loved learning the Quran and would hold various Quranic programs, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

Toukhi has recited the Quran on many occasion and in various ceremonies in Egypt, including those attended by senior officials.

He has also travelled to different countries, both Muslim and non-Muslim, to attend Quraic programs.

Touki recently recited verses 21 and 22 of Surah Al-Ahzab in a program in Sayyida Sakina Mosque in Cairo.
