Moving toward Islamic Civilization Requires Spreading Genuine Islamic Teachings: Leader

IQNA – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said spreading genuine Islamic teachings among people is necessary for moving toward Islamic civilization.

The Leader made the remark in a meeting with a number of the members of the Jami’at al-Zahra Women's Seminary on Wednesday. 

Ayatollah Khamenei said that propagating and clarifying Islamic teachings and reviving the religion is among the important missions of Islamic seminaries, including Jami’at al-Zahra.

He stressed the need for planning and goal-setting in order to promote spirituality among women, who make up half of the society.

Planning is necessary for the spiritual development of women at Jami’at al-Zahra, Ayatollah Khamenei said, noting that women equipped with Islamic morality and Tahzeeb Nafs (educating and purifying the self) can properly educate the future generation.

The Leader then described evolution and development as natural and said Islamic seminaries also need evolution and getting updated to properly carry out their responsibilities.

Ayatollah Khamenei further stressed the need for women fluent in religious studies to be present in the media and in international circles, highlighting the role of Jami’at al-Zahra in this regard.
