Tanzania Grand Mufti Invited to Attend Inauguration of Dar An-Nur Quran Academy

During the meeting, held in the senior cleric’s home, Ma’arefi briefed the Mufti on a plan to launch a Quranic center named Dar An-Nur Quran Academy at the Iranian Cultural Center in Dar es Salaam. 

He invited Sheikh Zubeir Mbwana to attend the center’s inauguration ceremony.

The Iranian envoy also elaborated on the proposed Quranic plans to be held in Tanzania, including holding a major Quranic exhibition in Dar es Salaam, holding Quran memorization courses, sending Iranian qaris to Tanzania for taking part in the country’s international Quran contest and dispatching five top Tanzanian qaris to Iran to take an advanced course on Sawt and Lahn.

The Tanzanian Mufti appreciated the Iranian Quranic officials’ efforts and hailed the Quranic plans.

He also accepted the invitation and said the National Muslim Council of Tanzania (BAKWATA) would spare no efforts to ensure the success of the Quranic plans.

Dar An-Nur Quran Academy will be launched in Dar es Salaam will be the fifth official Quran teaching center founded as part of the Risalatallah initiative.

The Islamic Culture and Relations Organization’s Quran and Propagation International Center is implementing the Risalatallah plan with the aim of boosting Iran’s Quranic capacities at the international level.
