Funeral Held in Tehran for Unknown Martyrs

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Funeral processions were held in different parts of Iran earlier this week for martyrs whose remains have been recently unearthed some 30 years after the end of the Iraqi imposed war on Iran.

One of the funerals was held in Sohanak neighborhood, northeast of the Iranian capital of Tehran, for two unknown martyrs.

Iraq, under former dictator Saddam Hussein, invaded Iran on September 22, 1980, imposing a bitter eight-year war on its eastern neighbor.
