Photos: 'Lonelier Than Christ' Performance Draws Thousands in Tehran
IQNA – A theatrical performance titled "Lonelier than Christ" is being held nightly in Tehran to mark the occasion of Arbaeen.
Hosted at Velayat Park, the performance depicts the sufferings of Imam Hussein (AS) and his family during and after the event of Ashura. The 60-minute play is staged in a 1,500-square-meter area and involves over 400 artists and participants.
The event attracts more than 7,000 spectators each night.
