Quran Manuscripts Exhibition Starts in Algeria

An exhibition of Quran manuscripts was inaugurated in the Algerian city of Mascara on Tuesday, March 18.

The expo has been planned as part of the programs celebrating the cultural week of Tindouf province, elmoudjahid website reports,
The weeklong event showcases more than 60 Islamic manuscripts including copies of the Holy Quran, Quran interpretations, and books on the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as well as Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence).
Some of the manuscripts, which date back to more than three centuries ago, are considered part of the province’s cultural heritage.
Organizers say that the data-x-items on display at the exhibit are among the very precious Islamic manuscripts in the country.
