The event, held at the Imam Khomeini portico of the shrine on Tuesday, was organized by the Quranic Affairs Center of Astan Quds Razavi.
The gathering, which coincided with the final days of the month of Safar, aimed to strengthen children’s connection with the Quran.
As part of the program, a scroll condemning Israeli crimes in Palestine and beyond was signed by the children. Organizers said the document will soon be delivered to UNESCO in multiple languages to serve as “the voice of oppressed children across the world.”
The call for justice came against the backdrop of the latest Israeli aggression against Iran. On June 13, the regime launched an all-out war of aggression on Iranian soil, striking military and nuclear sites and assassinating senior commanders, scientists, and civilians.
The United States also joined the war by targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities. In retaliation, Iran struck Israeli military sites with precision missiles and hit a US airbase in Qatar. After 12 days of exchanges, Israel was forced into a unilateral ceasefire.
Watch:
“This scroll reflects both awakening and the cry of innocent children worldwide,” said Hojat-ol-Islam Masoud Mirian, head of the shrine’s Quranic center, on the sidelines of the ceremony.
Speakers also reflected on personal sacrifices. Zahra Mesbah, the wife of martyr Ahad Aqdasi and mother of two slain children, Mohaddeseh (13) and Mohammadreza (9), described her children’s steadfast faith. She said the struggle between truth and falsehood has existed “since the dawn of creation” and stressed the duty to remain hopeful and resilient.
The mother of martyr Danial Rezazadeh, a security officer, also spoke, saying her only son “sacrificed his life for the country’s security and dignity” and passed away at sunset prayer time.
