Iran's Quranic convoy to Hajj will include 14 Quran reciters and a Quran memorizer, an official with the Supreme Quran Council said.

Mohammad Taqi Mirzajani added that a five-strong Tawasheeh (religious singing) group will also be in the convoy.
He said members of the Quranic convoy will leave for the holy city of Madinah starting from September 7, IRNA reported.
Saeed Tousi from Khorasan Razavi province, Mehdi Adeli from Tehran, Abbas Heshemi from Bushehr, Ali Hesari from Sistan and Baluchestan, and Mehdi Shayeq from Yazd are some of the reciters in the Iranian Quranic convoy to Hajj, Mirzajani stated.
This year some 64000 Iranians will go on Hajj pilgrimage in 451 batches.
The Hajj takes place from the 8th to the 12th of Zul-Hijjah which is the last month of the Hijri calendar.
This year it is expected to fall between October 1 and October 6.
Muslims from around the world pour into Makkah every year to perform hajj.
Hajj consists of several ceremonies, which are meant to symbolize the essential concepts of the Islamic faith, and to commemorate the trials of Prophet Abraham and his family.
Every able-bodied adult Muslim who can financially afford the trip must perform hajj at least once in a lifetime.
