The Issue of Hijab(Islamic veil or dress code) has been emphasized by both Shia and Sunni scholars throughout the history.

Dr. Moeini, Hozeh and university instructor, speaking at the one-day event of "Hijab & Chastity" forum, held in northern city of Chaloos, saying this added that both Shia and Sunni scholars have always endorsed the significance of Hijab ,as one of the most important Quran-endorsed obligations of faithful women.

He further said, "Islam not only is not a demanding religion but it is rather a religion which is easygoing in many aspects of every day life. The noble religion of Islam is in full conformity with the nature of human beings."

Quoting late Master Motahhari, Dr. Mirmoeini said, "Hijab is a guaranteed protection rather than being a restriction. Hijab preserves Muslim women from falling prey to sinister people and sinners."

"In fact, Hijab is a kind of respect for dignity of human nature, which is the noblest among creatures of God. In noble religion of Islam dignity of human being is so important that should not be subject for humiliation and exploitation," he concluded.
