Conference in Zimbabwe to Discuss ‘Role of Mosques in Islam’

-- The Islamic Republic of Iran’s embassy in Zimbabwe plans to hold a conference with the theme of “Role of Mosques in Islam.”
Slated for December 18 in the city of Masvingo, the three-day conference is organized in cooperation with Iranian cultural center in the country and Al-Kawsar Islamic Foundation.
History of mosques, their role in developing religious sciences, their role in awakening Muslims, the duty of Muslims towards the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the philosophy of Ashura and Imam Hossein’s (AS) uprising will be discussed at the conference, which is to be attended by the Imams and Friday prayer leaders from across the country.
It is aimed at elevating the scientific level of the prayer leaders and promoting the message of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) and Ashura.
