Following Velayat, A Main Characteristic of Quran Reciters, Memorizers

Supreme Leader’s representative in Mazandaran province said obeying Velayat (supreme jurist) is among the main characteristics of Quran reicters, memorizers and interpreters.

Speaking to IQNA’s Mazandaran branch, Ayatollah Nurollah Tabarsi said being a reciter or memorizer is not enough but what matters more is for the Quan activist to act upon the teachings of the Holy Book.
He referred to the fate of Khawarej, saying that although they apparently were acquainted with the Quran and learned its verses by heart, they got wrong in understanding the Quran and got distanced from Velayat.
Ayatollah Tabarsi pointed to the developments in Quranic fields since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, saying that with support from the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khamenei and sources of emulation, good steps have been taken in Quranic fields in the country.
He underlined the need for coordination and solidarity in the Quranic community to move toward greater insight.
Ayatollah Tabarsi went on to say that a society in which the political, educational, social, and academic systems are based on the teachings of the Quran, will become an insightful society.
