Hidden Zionist-American hands are behind the events in the Middle East and Muslim world, an eminent Tunisian university scholar said.
In an interview with IQNA, Ali Manjour added that the events in Syria, Lebanon, and Egypt are all part of one plot and that their causes are not separated.
He referred to the recent killing of Muslim Brotherhood supporters by the Egyptian military and described what is going on in Egypt as shameful.
Manjour, who is a member of the National Board for Supporting the Resistance Movement, underscored that the reasons behind the developments in Syria, Lebanon and Egypt are connected.
He said the involvement of the Zionists in the recent incidents in Egypt is obvious, regretting that “we Muslims are unfortunately unaware and ignorant about this”.
Manjour referred to the overthrow of Mohamed Morsi, whom he described as Egypt’s legitimate president, as an all-out coup against all values which will significantly affect all Arab countries in the region.
He described leaders of some Arab countries as politically backwarded and a stooge of the superpowers, saying that one day the truth about them will come out and their crimes against ethnic, Islamic and human values will be revealed.
The anti-Zionist Tunisian activist noted that people in different Tunisian cities have held rallies in recent days in support of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood rule. “The participants in these rallies were not supporting the Muslim Brotherhood but the rule of law.”
He underlined that all over the world people who advocate human values, regardless of their political affiliations, protested against the killing of Egyptian demonstrators and regarded it as unreasonable and unjustified.
The Tunisian scholar said rallies staged by the Muslim Brotherhood supporters are not aimed at regaining the government but aimed at regaining their rights and an answer to the crushed democracy in Egypt.
He urged Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood not to forget its mistake of following Saudi Arabia’s path and abandoning the path of moderation when it was in power.
Manjour noted that the group should learn a lesson from the Saudi’s behavior, noting that Riyadh leaders were among the first to congratulate the overthrow of Muslim Brotherhood government.
He said Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and a number of other Persian Gulf States have deep-rooted political problems with countries like Egypt, Syria and Lebanon because people in Syria, Lebanon and Egypt have freedom and democracy but in a country like Saudi Arabia women are even deprived of the right to drive a car.
He said leaders of some Arab countries of the Persian Gulf have no faith in the Islamic teachings and that is why there is no stability in their political stances but the Islamic Republic of Iran, due to its Islamic origins and adherence to Islamic teachings has never taken contradictory stances toward a country like Tunisia.
As for the conduct of former president Mohamed Morsi, Manjour stressed that a true Muslim must work for strengthening Islamic unity not fomenting discord.
He said Morsi failed to distinguish friends from enemies and that is why he ended up where he did.
Manjour reiterated that there are hidden hands behind the events in Egypt, adding that in order to reveal the goals of the enemies of Islam there is need for research centers in the Muslim world.
According to Mr. Manjour, Western countries have established such centers to predict and organize events and developments and if an unexpected development like the Tunisian revolution happens, these centers decide how to face the development.
