It should be noted that in the Quran, wind is introduced as one of the divine signs and a sign of God’s power. The Quran refers to the role of wind in the fertility of clouds, moving clouds, blowing in different directions and its effect on life. In the Holy Book, God refers to the winds as lawaqih (fertilizers) that fertilize the clouds and cause rain.
The phrase “Tasrif al-Riyah” in the Quran means changing the direction and speed of the wind and indicates that God moves the winds in such a way that it is in the direction of the interests and needs of man.
Also, the Quran introduces the wind as a mercy from God, which can also be a torment like poisonous winds or storms.
