TEHRAN (IQNA) – Saudi atrocities are exactly like what ISIL is doing, as the same tactics are being used by the Saudi regime to scare people and to silence the voice of peace, democracy and human dignity, according to a religious leader in Michigan, the United States.

Saudi Arabia shocked the Muslim world last week by announcing the execution of top Shia cleric Sheikh Nimr Baqir Al Nimr, who peacefully called for reforms in the Saudi political system.

The cleric was shot and arrested in Qatif in 2012 on charges of causing sectarian strife and disobeying the country’s ruler.

Saudi authorities also announced the execution of 46 others, including 3 Shia activists.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s top cleric Grand Mufti Sheikh Abd ul Aziz Al Sheikh has defended the executions, which sparked condemnations from rights groups and infuriated Shia community around the globe.

Speaking to IQNA, Imam Mohammad Ali Elahi, the spiritual leader of the Islamic House of Wisdom (IHW) in Dearborn Heights in the US state of Michigan, shared his comments and viewpoints on the execution of Sheikh Nimr by the Saudi Authorities.

Saudis Atrocities Same as ISIL Barbarism

Below is a brief summary of what he said regarding the issue:

I would like to offer my deepest condolences and sincere sympathy, thoughts and payers to the honorable family of Sheikh Nimr. Every message of faith and freedom, peace and justice that Sheikh Nimr sent was that he stood against terrorism, oppression and injustice of this monarchy of madness and murder, which is one of the most satanic systems in the entire world.

What the Saudis are doing is exactly what ISIS [ISIL or Daesh] is doing. The same tactics are being used to scare people and to silence the voice of peace, democracy and human dignity, a man of dialogue, a religious leader.

The voices of human rights, freedom and justice should be raised and spoken out against this crime that happened in the beginning of 2016.

Saudi royal family committed one of the worst crimes and tragedies in its history of brutality and barbarism by butchering and beheading people, exactly like ISIS does.

I ask Muslims and non-Muslims to condemn this crime and this monarchy of corruption that has no respect for humanity and that kills a man of righteousness and responsibility, a man of peace. May God provide patience to the family of Sheikh Nimr and every other suffering family.

We remember the Saudi system with shame, embarrassment and curse forever, but the martyr of freedom and justice, Sheikh Nimr, will be remembered with honor and dignity and his name like a shining light will continue to end the darkness of ignorance, injustice and prejudice, as the Quran says:

"You must not think that those who were killed in the way of Allah are dead, but rather, they are alive with their lord and have been provided for.” (3, 169)

We pray (for) the people of Qatif, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Afghanistan, and those people who are victims of terrorism and the ideology of takfiri training school.
