Muthanna Waili told FOX25 that the suspect broke into the Iman Islamic Center twice over the last few weeks. The suspect allegedly used a screwdriver to break in through a side door. No vandalism was reported.
The mosque said thousands of dollars’ worth of audio equipment and a donation box was taken, patch.com reported.
It's unclear if the same person is responsible for both break-ins.
Attacks against mosques and Islamic centers have been on the rise in the US in recent months, especially following anti-Muslim remarks by US President-elect Donald Trump during his election campaigns.
