Police Searching for Mosque Break-in Suspect in Massachusetts

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Police in Quincy, US state of Massachusetts, are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect connected to a series of burglaries and breaking into a mosque near Quincy Avenue area of the city.

Muthanna Waili told FOX25 that the suspect broke into the Iman Islamic Center twice over the last few weeks. The suspect allegedly used a screwdriver to break in through a side door. No vandalism was reported.

The mosque said thousands of dollars’ worth of audio equipment and a donation box was taken, patch.com reported.

It's unclear if the same person is responsible for both break-ins.

Attacks against mosques and Islamic centers have been on the rise in the US in recent months, especially following anti-Muslim remarks by US President-elect Donald Trump during his election campaigns.
