New Delhi Islamic Center to Hold Imam Ali (AS) Conference

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Islamic Studies Institute in New Delhi, India, plans to organize an international conference about Imam Ali (AS), the first Shia Imam.

The program will be held to commemorate the 1400^th anniversary of the Imam’s martyrdom.

The three-day conference is slated for August 17-19.

The Safinat-ul-Huda Islamic Institute and the Religious Minorities Commission of New Delhi will cooperate in holding the conference.

Among those attending the scholarly event will be head of the Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought Ayatollah Mohsen Araki.
