TEHRAN (IQNA) – Hussein Abdul Zahir is a young Egyptian who can imitate Quran recitation styles of 11 top Qaris of the Muslim world.


His Quranic talents were discovered by a Sheikh when he was an elementary school student.

The Sheikh encouraged him to improve his recitation skills and also spend time reflecting on the teachings of the Holy Book, website reported.

A video has been released of his recitation of one Surah of the Quran in various styles.

He recites the verses in the styles of Qaris like Sheikh Muhammad Ayub, Khalil al-Hisri, Mohamed al-Minshawi, Ali Abdullah Jaber, Fares Ibad and Mohamed Jibril.



Egypt is a country in North Africa with a population of around 96 million.

Muslims account for around 90 percent of the country’s total population.

Quranic activities are very common in the Muslim-majority Arab country and many of the Muslim world’s top Qaris in the past and present have been Egyptian.
