Black Flag Raised on Al-Kadhimiya Shrine on Eve of Imam Jawad Martyrdom Anniversary
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Black flags and banners of mourning were raised on Al-Kadhimiya Shrines in Kazimayn, north of the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, ahead of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Jawad (AS), the 9th Shia Imam.
Al-Kadhimiya contains the tombs of the seventh and ninth Imams, respectively Imam Musa Kadhim (AS) and Imam Jawad (AS).
The 30th day of the lunar Hijri month of Dhul Qa’ada, which falls on Sunday, July 11, marks the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Jawad (AS).
