Ibrahim, 22, is from the city of Zefta in the Arab country’s Gharbia Governorate, according to Youm7.com website.

He says he got acquainted with the Book of God from early childhood at one of the major mosques in his hometown.

He says late Sheikh Ali Khayruddin, his first Quran teacher, helped him greatly in learning Qara’at (Quran recitation styles).

With his help, Ibrahim managed to make progress in Quran memorization and recitation and win several prizes in Quran competitions.

He then went on to learn Tajweed and Sawt (voice) principles with top Quran experts in Egypt.

At the age of 16, Ibrahim memorized the entire Quran and also came first in the Muslim World Youths gathering.

The Al-Azhar University graduate is thankful for the blessing of becoming a Qari and says that with the Quran, people can see that all doors open up to them.
