Speaking in the inaugural ceremony of the new senior director of Imam Reza holy shrine, Marvi said paying respect to pilgrims and facilitating pilgrimage are two main areas of focus for AQR. “Servants of Imam Reza (AS) are supposed to respect all pilgrims of the holy shrine regardless of their social class. Social, political, and scientific titles have no room inside Imam Reza holy shrine and every pilgrim is a guest of Imam Reza (AS).”
“Behavior of the holy shrine’s servants must be manifestation of behavior and conduct of Imam Reza (AS) and other members of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) toward their guests. Each servant must be an ambassador of culture and morality in the society,” he added.
AQR chief custodian went on to say “Another aspect of honoring pilgrims is to provide welfare facilities for a comfortable pilgrimage. Welfare facilities are preludes to cultural works and failure in providing these facilities reduces the effectiveness of cultural activities.”
Underscoring attention to comments and viewpoints of servants and visitors, he stated “The management team of the holy shrine should provide necessary platform for the opinions and proposals of the servants and use huge capacity of the organization’s staff for better administration of the affairs.”
According to him, during the national campaign for supporting the needy people hit by Coronavirus pandemic, Imam Reza holy shrine’s servants rendered valuable services to these people. “Servants can also play a decisive role in the development of the culture of endowment and donation.”
The ceremony finally paid tribute to the performance of Mohammad Mahdi Baradaran, former senior director of the holy shrine, introducing Mostafa Feizi as the new senior director of Imam Reza holy shrine.
