Deadly Afghanistan Earthquake A Test for West’s Conscience

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A magnitude 5.9 earthquake hit eastern Afghanistan last week, claiming more than 1000 lives and living at least 1500 others injured.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan has been facing Western-imposed sanctions and limitations since the rise of the Taliban. Human rights groups are urging the international community to give a helping hand to the impoverished country amid this crisis.
