Imam Hussein Holy Shrine during Sha’aban Eids (+Video)

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A large number of pilgrims are visiting the holy mausoleum of Imam Hussein (AS) in Karbala Iraq during the Sha’aban Eids these days.

The holy shrine, as well as the holy mausoleum of Hazrat Abbas (AS) and the area between the two sites, has been decorated with colorful lights, flowers, and white and green banners.

Every year, various ceremonies are organized in different parts of the world on the birthday anniversaries of Imam Hussein (AS), Hazrat Abbas (AS) and Imam Sajjad (AS), which respectively fall on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of the lunar Hijri month of Sha’aban (February 24, 25, 26 this year).

Muslims also celebrate the 15th day of the month (March 8, this year) which is the birthday anniversary of the 12th infallible Imam (may God hasten his glad advent).
