IQNA – The secretary general of Iraq’s al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement said the Iraqi resistance will continue to target the positions of the Zionist regime in solidarity with Palestine.

Sheikh Akram al-Kaabi, the secretary general of Iraq’s al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement

In a message issued on the occasion of Mid-Shaaban, marking the birthday of Imam Zaman (may God hasten his glad advent), Sheikh Akram al-Kaabi said the resistance of Iraq will not abandon Palestine.

Since the beginning of the Israeli regime on the Gaza Strip, the Iraqi resistance has sacrificed blood for Palestine, he stated.

“We will not make concessions, will not give in, will not retreat and will keep helping Gaza and striving to force the (American) occupiers out (of Iraq),” he stated.

Sheikh al-Kaabi underlined that the US occupation forces will regret shedding every drop of blood on Iraqi soil and that revenge awaits them.

Anti-US sentiments are running high in Iraq over the strong support of Washington for Israeli crimes in Gaza as well as Washington’s refraining from withdrawing its forces from Iraq, 19 years after invading the country.
