IQNA – Many prophets of God have been targeted by false accusations and many lies have been spread against them.

Many lies have been spread by Jews about divine prophets

The Quran differentiates the Jews who are moderate and believe in the Resurrection Day from those Jews who break their promises:

“Some of them are modest people, but many of them commit the worst sins.” (Verse 66 of Surah Al-Ma’idah)

The Quran cites many negative characteristics for the second group in history, one of which is spreading lies against divine messengers.

Throughout the Book of Song of Solomon, there are romantic remarks attributed to Prophet Solomon (AS). Even Will Durant has criticized this in his book The Story of Civilization, wonder how Jewish rabbis have neglected this and allowed such poems to be written in that book.

Disobeying divine commandments, building idol houses, and deviating from Yahweh are among other false accusations leveled against Prophet Solomon (AS) by the second group of Jews.

The Holy Quran mentions the accusations of sorcery and disbelief against Solomon and rejects them: “... Solomon did not disbelieve, it is the devils who disbelieved.” (Verse 102 of Surah Al-Baqarah)

There are also many verses in the Quran in praise of Solomon, saying, for example, that he was a good worshipper and repentant: “(He was) a blessed servant of Ours and certainly the most repentant person.” (Verse 30 of Surah Saad)

Or that he was wise and had Hikmah (knowledge and wisdom): “We gave knowledge to David and Solomon. They said: ‘Praise be to Allah who has preferred us above many of His believing worshipers.’” (Verse 15 of Surah An-Naml)

God also says about Solomon in Verse 25 of Surah Saad: “So, We forgave him that, and he has a near place with Us and a fine return.”

Another example of spreading lies about divine messengers is the lies about Prophet Is’haq (Isaac) as seen in the Book of Gensis (27-1 to 40).

Other examples of improper accusations against divine prophets in the Torah include accusing Lut and Noah of drinking wine and mentioning numerous sins for David. These strange accusations and laws make one wonder why such behaviors should be attributed to divine messengers in a book of god. A book that should mention the story of prophets to guide people, talks about their wrong and blasphemous conducts.
