The comments, made ahead of the Dasara festival, have sparked widespread condemnation from various communities, with many calling the remarks an insult to Islam and the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Hyderabad parliamentarian Asaduddin Owaisi, among others, has expressed outrage, describing the monk's comments as "highly condemnable, filthy, and obnoxious."
Narsinghanand, a controversial figure with a history of inflammatory statements, allegedly targeted Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in his latest speech, which was widely circulated on social media.
Owaisi, who leads the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), met with Hyderabad's police commissioner to demand the monk’s immediate arrest under multiple legal provisions, including the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
