Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Hossein Rafiei, who served as a member of the panel of judges in the knowledge section of the competition’s 47th edition, made the remark in an interview IQNA.
He also hailed the inclusion of an international field to the knowledge section as a significant initiative and said it offers a great capacity for identifying and introducing elites in the Muslim Ummah who can foster the Islamic teachings of the Islamic Revolution’s discourse.
This field alone has potential to attract those who can make an impact in the world through the concept of Jihad of Tabyeen (struggle to clarify) in the context of the Quran, he stated.
With the addition of this field, individuals from various countries can be identified and trained to be the voice of the Quran across the world, the director general of the Quran and Hadith Department at Al-Mustafa International University added.
In the international field, during the few days of the competition, there were participants from African, European, and Asian countries competing in two groups of women and men, he said, noting that these contestants showcased their knowledge in Quranic fields.
