The ceremony was held at the Iranian Parliament in Tehran on Tuesday with the participation of senior Iranian politicians, military officials, and members of Parliament as well as high-ranking dignitaries from more than 88 countries. 

Prominent Iranian qari Ahmadivafa recited Verses 89-91 of Surah An-Nahl at the ceremony:

“And on that Day We shall raise up from every nation a witness from their own against them, and We shall bring you (Prophet Muhammad) as a witness against those. And We have sent down to you the Book making everything clear, as a guidance, and mercy, and glad tidings to those who submit. Allah orders justice, and good deeds, and giving to one's kindred. He forbids indecency, dishonor and insolence. He admonishes you in order that you take heed. Fulfill the covenant of Allah, when you make a covenant and do not break your oaths after they have been confirmed (by swearing in His Name) for you make Allah your surety. Allah has knowledge of what you do.”
