Pakistan: Preparations in Full Swing for Eid Milad-un-Nabi

The preparations to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi are in full swing as mosques, homes, plazas, roads and all kinds of buildings have been decorated with green flags, colourful buntings, banners and fancy lights.


People of all ages particularly youth and children are busy day and night in decorating their areas to celebrate the birth anniversary of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) with full zeal and fervour.



The city district government, Rawalpindi sources said  that more than 2,000 big and small processions would appear in different localities on 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal. The peaceful processions would start appearing early morning from different areas till Magrib. The main processions would appear from Eidgah Sharif, Jamia Masjid Road, Kamran Market, Chur, Allahabad, Adiala Road, Gulistan Colony, Khanna Dak, Kurri Road and Pirwadhai. The processions would circle the entire city and culminate at Eidgah Sharif for final programme.



The police have also chalked out security plan to control law and order situation during processions of Eid Milad-un-Nabi. Around 1,500 police officials including special branch officials would be deployed at every nook and corner of the city to avoid any untoward incident.



A large number of banners and gigantic billboards have also been displayed to celebrate the birth anniversary of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the city and cantonment board areas. Whereas Dheri Hassanabad, Tench Bhatta, Tariqabad, Lalazar, Raja Bazar, Moti Bazar, College Road, Commercial Market, Kamalabad, Syedpur Road, Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, Muslim Town, Chirah Road, Sadiqabad, Dhoke Khabba, Dhok Farman Ali, Ghausia Chowk, Chur Chowk, Misrial Road, Afshan Colony, Qasim Market have been beautifully decorated.



Apart from Eid Milad-un Nabi processions on 12th Rabi-ul- Awwal, Milad committees in different areas are also busy holding Mahafil-e-Naat. Special programmes are being prepared for paying tributes to highlight different aspects of the life of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). Different religious, social, cultural and educational institutions and organisations have also finalised their programmes to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi with religious fervour.



Models of Khana-e-Kaaba and Masjid-e-Nabvi are exhibited on major squares of the city. To grab the attention of the people, small green coloured ponds of different sorts have also been made and put at various prominent places of the city.
