Malaysia to Hold 4th Int’l Conference on Islamic Education

The 4th International Conference and Exhibition on Islamic Education is going to be held on 31 May – 2 June 2014 in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia.

Today, there are several types of Islamic education systems that have been implemented in the Muslim countries. This dynamic nature of Islamic education has led to extensive research on educational theories, curriculum development, teacher training and other areas of education.
This conference aims to review and critically analyze works and research on pedagogy in Islamic education. Another major component of this conference is to discuss and reflect on nowadays challenges and current trends in research of Islamic education.
The event will be a platform to strengthen international understandings among scholars, experts, researchers and educators in the field of Islamic education from around the world.
CIEd2014 is jointly organized by Association of Malaysian Muslim Intellectuals, The Islamic Academy Cambridge, United Kingdom in collaboration with International Islamic University College Selangor, Malaysia.
The main theme of the conference is “Pedagogy in Islamic Education: Nowadays Challenges, New Trends and Future Prospects”.
The sub-themes of the conference include: Islamic pedagogy, Pedagogy innovation, Ethical issues in pedagogy, Pedagogical tools, Islamic learning environments, Life-long learning, Teacher education and training, Teaching Islam to Gifted/Special children, Quran and Tahfiz education, Islamic religious schools education, History of Islamic education, Islamic educational thought and E-learning in Islamic Education.
