“Nahj-ul-Balaghah” in Swahili Published in Tanzania

A Swahili translation of Nahj-ul-Balaghah was published for the first time with the cooperation of Iranian Cultural Center in Tanzania.


According to IQNA’s branch in East Asia, the translation took seven years to complete and has been published by Al-Itrah Publications.

Sheikh Harun Pingili, Tanzanian Shia scholar has translated the book from Arabic into Swahili.

The Nahj-ul-Balaghah (Way of Eloquence) is the most famous collection of sermons, letters, tafsirs and narrations attributed to Imam Ali (AS), cousin and son-in-law of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

It was collected by Sharif Razi, a Shia scholar in the tenth century. Known for its eloquent content, it is considered a masterpiece of literature in Shia school of thought.
