The Holy Prophet is uswa al-hasana (best of examples) in everything and, therefore, his style of teaching the Quran should be followed in Quranic education.

Mohammad Reza Moini, a Quran expert, made the remark in a forum held at the 22nd Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition on Thursday, June 26, adding that the first principle in the Prophet's (PBUH) Quran teaching is that the learner can learn by listening because the ears are the gateways to the heart.

The forum was held at the conference hall of the exhibition with the participation of a number of Quran instructors.

Mr. Moini added that with the method of learning through listening, the even those who cannot read and write can learn the Quran.

He said in this method, verses of the Quran are taught one by one and it may take years for the learners to learn the entire Quran but what matters is that all of the verses of the Holy Book enter the heart of the learner.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Quran expert underlined that if the Quran is taught the right way, the learners benefit from the verses of the Holy Book.

He noted that benefiting does mean only memorizing or gaining the ability to recite the Quran beautifully but grasping the Divine blessings while reading the Quran.

The 22nd International Holy Quran Exhibition, which is underway at the Holy Defense Garden Museum in Tehran until July 13, hosts various forums on Quran-related issues every night.
