Istanbul Hosts Calligraphers Meeting

An international meeting of calligraphers was recently organized in Istanbul by Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA).

 The calligraphers had the chance of presenting their works, as “The Unity of Calligraphers in the Muslim World” project was also launched.

The purpose of the meeting was to highlight the importance of calligraphy for the Islamic world and its role in cementing intercultural cooperation.
To preserve the tradition and improve cooperation between calligraphers are also among the goals.
Calligraphers from Iran, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Britain, Iraq, Syria, Jordan and the US presented their works in the exhibition of the event.
