-- The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) is satisfied with the condition of Muslims in Russia, Jordanian Ambassador in Moscow Abdelilah Mohamed Ali Al Kurdi said.
"We welcome the way Islam is treated in Russia. We also know that all preconditions have been provided in Russia on the whole and Chechnya in particular for believers to practice Islam," Al Kurdi said at the Grozny airport.

"Russia's respectful attitude toward Islam has been a factor for us to support Russia in joining the OIC as an observer. It is also represented at the League of Arab States," he said.

"Islamic states are interested in close cooperation with Russia. We are informed about progressive political and economic processes going on in the Chechen republic, and we are glad that stability in the republic had been achieved so quickly," he said.

Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov said at the Grozny airport in response to a question from Interfax that he would like "close and friendly relations between Russia and the Muslim world to continue strengthening."

"We have invited ambassadors from Muslim states not to ask for economic aid and support, but we would like them to see with their own eyes what is going on in Chechnya and to inform their states and peoples about this," he said.

"Yes, a war did take place here, but this was a war against terrorists, and we want representatives from Muslim states to see and understand this once again," Kadyrov said.
