-- More than 100 Muslim scholars and intellectuals from 40 countries are expected to meet in Jordanian Capital on September 4 to promote the values of love, tolerance and coexistence.
--With support of Jordanian King Abdullah II, the 14th conference of the Royal "Ahl Al-Beit" Institution of Islamic Thought titled "Love in Holy Quran" will be held to highlight aspects of Islamic Faith and combat hatred and xenophobia.

The conference coincides with a challenging period, perhaps the toughest, in the history of the Muslim world, director of institution Ibrahim Shabbouh told reporters in Amman on Sunday.

The Muslim world is facing a hostile campaign that resulted from misunderstanding of the Islamic Faith, Shabbouh noted.

The conferees will try to clarify misunderstandings and highlight the true values of love, coexistence and tolerance in the Holy Quran and Sharia (Islamic Law), he pointed out.

Thirty papers will be probed by conferees and winners of King Abdullah I Ibn Al-Hussein Award will be honored during the conference, he disclosed.

The three-day event is being held bi-annually.

The theme of this year's conference was selected in line with the Amman Message launched by King Abullah II in November, 2004.
