Speaking to IQNA, Brigadier General Ramezan Sharif warned that global public outrage could soon force open aid corridors, as humanitarian conditions worsen.
He stressed the need for urgent global action to address Gaza’s humanitarian crisis, citing severe shortages of food, water, and medicine.
“Images of Palestinian women, children, and elderly suffering from starvation have deeply moved not only global public opinion but also the Iranian people,” Sharif told reporters.
He described Iranians as compassionate, anti-oppression, and steadfast supporters of the oppressed, especially Palestinians."
Sharif said Iranian authorities and NGOs held emergency meetings to organize cash and material aid for Gaza, contingent on border access.
“If global pressure opens aid corridors, we must be ready to deliver supplies immediately,” he said, naming the Red Crescent and other organizations as distribution channels.
He accused Israel of using starvation as a weapon, saying over 1,000 Gazans died from hunger last week alone.
This is a clear war crime, he said, describing Zionism as a cancerous tumor.
He underlined Palestinian resilience despite a 21-month blockade post-Al-Aqsa Storm Operation, saying Israel has failed to break Gaza.
While acknowledging public support for Palestine in Muslim-majority countries, Sharif criticized their governments’ silence.
“Some rulers, tied to the US, avoid public stances—but even Sunni clerics in Arab nations are now condemning Gaza’s atrocities.” He expressed hope leaders would follow their citizens’ demands.

As for the Israeli regime’s prime minister, Sharif predicted humiliation and downfall for Benjamin Netanyahu, likening his fate to past Zionist leaders.
He also described Iran’s anti-Zionist stance as a model, saying the Islamic Republic, having resisted foreign pressure after the 12-day imposed war, can inspire Muslim nations and freedom-seeking people worldwide.
Sharif argued the current moment offers a historic opportunity to galvanize global outrage against Israel.
Since launching its genocidal war on October 7, 2023, the Israeli regime has slaughtered at least 59,106 people in Gaza and injured more than 142,511 others.
