According to Alwatan daily, Shia candidates of Al-Amin party coalition of Kuwait in a message handed to Kuwaiti prime minister urged the government to give the green light for teaching the Jafari fiqh(jurisprudence) in Kuwaiti schools, so that Kuwaiti children can have a true image of Jafari Shia school in their minds.
Hani Seyyed Ali, a member of the Al-Amin coalition, said, "Kuwaiti government should move to contain promotion of ethnic and sectarian disputes, because ethnic and sectarian disputes thwart country's drive for rapid growth and development."
"Unfortunately, at present students at different levels are exposed only to teachings and religious precepts of one particular sect and this can pave the way for promotion of prejudice and sectarianism," Ali pointed out.
Jamil Mirza Hossein, another member of the Al-Amin coalition, emphasizing on the need for teaching Shia Jafari Fiqh( jurisprudence) in government schools urged the government to reach out for talents, regardless of their religious sect, to fill various social and economic positions.
Kuwait's parliament election is slated for June 28th.
