-- Saudi Academic Ali Halal al-Sayoud said that the Hedayat Exegesis (Hoda al-Quran) is one of precious works of Ayatollah Seyed Mohammad-Taqi Modarresi, which addresses existing problems in old interpretations of the holy Quran through providing comparative exegesis of Quranic verses with routine problems.
Hojat-ol-Islam al-Sayud, who is a Quranic academic at Hazrat Qaem University, also told IQNA in an exclusive interview that the Hoda al-Quran exegesis had been translated into Persian in 18 volumes and published by the Research Foundation of Razavi Qods Astan in Iran.
Ayatollah Modarresi, a Shiite source of emulation who lives in the Iraqi city of Karbala, wrote and published the Arabic version of the exegesis nearly 25 years earlier, al-Sayud said, adding that the second volume of the book is to be republished soon.
He further noted that direct utilization of Islamic narrations for interpreting verses of the holy Quran is among other traits of the Hedayat Exegesis, underlining that Modarresi has used narrations to interpret the meaning of every verse.
The Saudi academic went on to say that certain Quranic exegeses do not enjoy narrations or only cite one narration for each verse, but Modarresi makes use of various narrations to interpret one special verse of the holy Quran.
