“Within the framework of confronting American and Zionist aggression against the axis of jihad and resistance in Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen, and in opposition to the Zionist project based on the establishment of a ‘Greater Israel’ under the name of the New Middle East, as well as in order to break the cruel siege of the American enemy against our nation and the dear and free nations in Lebanon, Gaza and Iran, and within the framework of unity of the fields…, the Yemeni armed forces attacked sensitive targets of the Israeli enemy in Tel Aviv with several missiles,” Yahya Saree on Monday.
He added that this attack was carried out with precision and achieved its goals.
Earlier on Monday morning, the Israeli army said that a missile had been fired from Yemen towards the occupied Palestinian territories.
Also Yemen’s Ansarullah announced in an official statement that Israeli ships cannot pass through the Red Sea.
It said Yemen has closed the Bab al-Mandeb Strait to Zionist ships, Al-Maseerah reported.
Ansarullah emphasized that navigation for the Zionist regime in the Red Sea is completely prohibited.
The importance of this waterway is no less than that of Strait of Hormuz. Some 3.9 million barrels of oil a day (12 percent of the world’s maritime trade) pass through this 29-kilometer passage.
Analysts have warned that its closure would drastically increase the pressure on the United States and its allies in the Persian Gulf.
