-- Afghanistan’s enemies are making efforts to diminish the role of the Quran in the Afghan society, head of the Sunni Scholars Council in the city of Mazare Sharif told IQNA.
Molawi Mohammad Shah Adeli said that the enemies fear the presence of Quranic concepts in Afghans’ lives.
“They seek to replace the Islamic and revolutionary culture of Afghanistan with their own decadent culture. They know that today the Islamic and Quranic culture has given a new color to Afghanistan’s life and that has jeopardized their interests in all Islamic countries.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, Adeli hailed the organizing of a Quranic exhibition by the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mazare Sharif and expressed hope that the exhibition would help promote the culture of the Quran among Afghan youths.
